The Doctoral programme in Organisation and Management Education (DOME)
is a collaboration between Danish universities offering PhD courses in
organisation and management studies.
DOME, a doctoral programme in organisation and management theory, is an inter-university collaboration between University of Southern Denmark, Roskilde University and Aarhus University.
DOME was established in autumn 2003, and in 2006 received a 5-year grant (2006-2010) from The Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation. Since the first doctoral seminar was held in January 2004, DOME has carried out 78 doctoral seminars involving 644 students, 174 of whom came from abroad.
The DOME doctoral programme offers general as well as more specific courses in organisation and management theory for both Danish and international students. Students and faculty from abroad give the seminars a truly international atmosphere and provide excellent opportunities for networking across institutional borders.
The DOME faculty includes internationally renowned scholars from abroad as well as from the four collaborating Danish universities. Previous members of the international faculty include: Professor W. Richard Scott, Stanford University; Professor Andrew Van de Ven, University of Minnesota; Professor Howard Aldrich, University of North Carolina; Professor Charles Snow, Penn State University; Professor Richard Burton, Duke University; Professor George Huber, The University of Texas at Austin; Professor Lex Donaldson, Australian Graduate School of Management; Professor Wanda Orlikowski, MIT Sloan School of Management; Professor Linda Argote, Carnegie Mellon University; Professor Gerardine De Sanctis, Duke University; Senior Lecturer Nathalie Mitev, London School of Economics; Associate Professor Michael Jensen, University of Michigan; Professor Emeritus Geert Hofstede, Tilburg University; Professor Hans Landström, Lund University; Professor Tom Elfring, The Free University of Amsterdam; Professor Alistair Anderson, Aberdeen Business School; Professor Saras Sarasvathy, Darden School of Business; Professor Craig L.
