Come join us to hear one of the world’s leading experts in strategy as practice! David Seidl will be visiting the department on 6-7 June 2018. 

David Seidl is Full Professor of Organization and Management at the University of Zurich and Research Associate at the Centre for Organizational Research at Cambridge University. He studied Management and Sociology in Munich, London, Witten/Herdecke and Cambridge. He earned his PhD at the University of Cambridge in 2001. He also sits on several Editorial Boards including Organization Studies (Senior Editor), Journal of Management Studies, Scandinavian Journal of Management, Strategic Organization and Organization. Current research focuses on strategy as practice, corporate governance and philosophy of science, which has been published widely in leading international journals including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Annals, Organization Science and Strategic Management Journal. David has (co-) produced several books, including The Cambridge Handbook of Strategy as Practice (Cambridge University Press, 2015), and several Special Issues, including a Special Issue of Long Range Planning (2017) on "Open Strategy" and of Organization Studies (2017) on “Resistance in and around Organizations”.
