In collaboration with the manufacturing SME Sciteq, and Force Technology, the Innovation Management Group at Department of Business Administration has received funding from the Innovation Voucher Scheme under the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education.

The aim of the project is to develop novel measuring equipment and techniques for test and quality control of raw material and production in the plastics industry. The role of the Innovation Management Group is to secure and support that the project serves as an educational vehicle for students of innovation.

A group of students from Stockholm has already visited Sciteq and another visit is planned for students on the MSc in Innovation Management this spring. Student internships and Master thesis projects are also part of the planned activities as well as the development of a teaching case focusing on the processes of managing technological innovation in SMEs.

Helle Alsted Søndergaard and Lars Frederiksen from  the Innovation Management Group point out that this type of close encounter with innovation activities in the business realm is a cornerstone for producing useful research as well as for delivering quality teaching in innovation management.
