At the 39th Annual Macromarketing Conference which took place in London 2-5 July 2014, John Thøgersen received this year's Shelby D. Hunt Award for the most cited article published in the past five years in the Journal of Macromarketing. The article is 'Country differences in sustainable consumption: the case of organic food' which was published in June 2010.
