The challenge of finding the most effient and effective organization of  emergency departments, seems to cause managers at Danish hospitals some headache.

”We seem to have hit a really sore point in the restructuring of the Danish hospitals, ” says Professor Børge Obel, center director at Interdisciplinary Centre for Organizational Architecture (ICOA) at Aarhus University and founding member of the Design-EM research network together with the Research Center for Emergency Medicine (CfA).

“We have met huge interest from managers of emergency departments around the country. All regions and 21 hospitals now participate in our research projects, and we are looking very much forward to presenting the findings from our research and to discuss our recommendations”.

More than 100 participants have already signed up and more is expected to join before the registration deadline 5. March 2015.02.02
