Organizational transparency: How to make organizations transparent?

 Everyone is welcome

Abstract
Organizational transparency is becoming a prominent area of research with significantly growing number of empirical studies in the last 15 years. Transparency is an elementary principle of good governance for profit, non-profit and public organizations, which is in contrast with the fact that transparency is often identified as the root of governance scandals. The first prerequisite for making organizations transparent is to understand the concept of transparency. Thus, the presentation will start with summarizing of the latest research on conceptualization of organizational transparency. The second prerequisite for making organizations transparent is to provide appropriate conditions, or in other words, to influence the determinants of transparency. However, empirical research provides not only diverging, but often conflicting results on determinants of organizational transparency. Thus, the presentation will continue with the analysis of determinants of transparency and the presentation will conclude with introduction of a newly developed conceptual model on determinants of organizational transparency.
