Marianne Livijn, a consultant at UKON has been granted an industrial PhD. She will be part of ICOA from October 1., 2016 when she returns from maternity leave.

Her PhD project:

Macro and Micro Design in Strategy Implementation

The aim of the project is to conceptualize how managers at micro and macro levels work with organizational design in strategy implementation. Special focus will be given to how organizations balance the way that managers work with organizational design at different organizational levels in order to achieve a coherent organization steered towards the same overall goals and objectives, and enough maneuverability for middle and lower-level managers to adjust the strategy to local demands.
