The Institute of Social Science (ISS) of the University of Tokyo and Japan’s Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI) are cohosting an International Workshop on Personnel Economics in Tokyo on July 12 to 14, 2013. Among the invited speakers are researchers from Stanford University, Northwestern University, London School of Economics and ICOA. At the workshop researchers will discuss how to structure pay systems to incentivize employees. This research is to a large extent building on firm level data and the majority of the papers have a particular focus on the use of subjective performance ratings in firms. The ICOA researcher Anders Frederiksen will at the workshop discuss the paper:  "Subjective Performance Evaluations and Employee Careers".
