On March 2-3, Associate Professor Marco Hubert hosted the kick-off meeting of DIGYMATEX, an EU funded project developed and coordinated by Marco and his AU team members Alice Grønhøj and Andrea Carugati. The project has a total budget of EUR 3.5 million, 560,000€ of which for the Department of Management at Aarhus BSS.

Digymatex will do research on children’s digital maturity and wishes to provide clear evidence on how digital maturity impacts the ICT behaviour of children of the ages of 9-16.

The partners come from leading universities, research institutions and technology companies from ten different countries, including Germany, Denmark, Austria, Spain, Norway, Greece, the Netherlands, Ireland, Israel and France: https://digymatex.eu/about-us/partners/

“It was great to finally meet everybody” says Marco. “We did not have time to meet while writing the grant application, but everybody is very enthusiastic about the project and we are already having some important discussion about methods and the way forward”.

The first step will be to set up the planned data pool and the first research projects to derive potential dimensions of the maturity index.
