Professor Klaus G. Grunert becomes Knight of the Order of Dannebrog

On 11 September 2015, professor Klaus G. Grunert from Aarhus BSS at Aarhus University will be appointed Knight of the Order of Dannebrog by HM Queen Margrethe II.

Klaus G. Grunert receives the order in recognition of his impressive career and many years at the Department of Management. During his career, his academic focus has been on marketing and consumer behaviour, and he has conducted a wide range of studies mainly within the food sector. Klaus G. Grunert is an expert in consumer behaviour and is the director of the research centre MAPP which studies the eating, drinking and buying habits of consumers. His participation in various research projects has brought him around the world.

Klaus G. Grunert is an excellent communicator and lecturer, and he has received a number of impressive awards through the years. In 2011, he was appointed honorary doctor at the University of Vaasa in Finland, and in the same year, he received the Aarhus University Research Foundation Communication Prize. I 2007, Klaus G. Grunert received the Danish Business Academy Commercial Researcher Award.

Klaus G. Grunert has authored and edited more than 500 publications.  He has taught a wide range of courses within his field and is also a popular visiting professor in many countries.

Klaus G. Grunert was born in Berlin and studied at the universities of Cologne and Stuttgart. He has lived and worked in Denmark since 1987, where he became professor of marketing at the former Aarhus School of Business - now Aarhus BSS at Aarhus University.
