AUFF have granted Associated Professors Helle Alsted Søndergaard and John Howells from the Department of Management at Aarhus BSS two mobility grants. They now get the opportunity to do research in Zurich and London respectively.

Helle Alsted Søndergaard will spend her grant on a stay at ETH in Zurich. The goal of the research stay is to develop and mature a research idea by collecting preliminary data for a pilot study and by interacting with the researchers at ETH —Professor Georg von Krogh, Chair of Strategic Management and Innovation and Professor Stefano Brusoni, Chair of Technology and Innovation Management.

The research idea is related to investigating the motives of organisational problem solvers for participating in open innovation contests.

John Howells will travel to London and do research at the Faculty of Laws at the University College London. He will stay in London from October to December 2016 and plans to work closely with Professor Sir Robin Jacob. John Howells intends to write a book about patent law and company innovation.

The objective of the AUFF Mobility Grants is to give established researchers (at the level of associate professor or professor) at Aarhus University the opportunity to visit top foreign institutions.
