Work Groups: Participants are invited to contribute to the work of the workgroups prior to the meeting on May 16-17 through conference calls and wiki.

Objectives to elaborate on: the state of the art, prior art, current and future work, foreseen issues/challenges, and recommendations for the way forward, on the five pillars to tackle Organization Design and Big Data.

  1. University/Business driven Applications: how to access, organise, and develop values from Big Data to create competitive edges, to improve productivity in business and to create new processes and knowledge in scientific technical works?
  2. University/Public driven Applications: how to access, organise, and develop values from Big Data to meet societal challenges, to optimize public utility usages and to reduce waste?
  3. Data Challenges: how to address legal and technological issues concerning security, privacy, organization and ease of use of Big Data?
  4. Impacts on Organisation Design: how to address the management and practitioner skills upgrade or shortage and the organisation design to meet the challenges imposed by the advent of Big Data?
  5. Partnership/Fellowship: how to organise or create public private partnerships for research collaboration, skills development and for accessing to private and public funding to take advantage of big data availability?
