New PhD student – Cecilie Lohse

On 1 September 2025, Cecilie Lohse will join ICOA as a PhD student.
Her project uses Danish acute hospitals as a case to investigate how knowledge interdependencies across organizational levels shape adaptability, with the aim of contributing to broader understandings of organizational design in complex systems.
Cecilie holds a master’s degree in Anthropology from Aarhus University, where she specialized in organizational and medical anthropology. Further, she has gained substantial experience as a research assistant at the Department of Management, Aarhus University, and the Emergency Department at Viborg Regional Hospital, working with projects on organizational adaptation, resilience, and crisis management.
Her main supervisor will be Dorthe Døjbak Håkonsson.
