PhD student visits the Center for Accounting

We recently had the pleasure of hosting PhD student Leonard Duden from Germany, BDO audit firm, who visited as part of an ongoing collaboration with our colleague Sebastian Oelrich. The visit centered around their joint research project investigating audit culture and whistleblowing in 75 countries across the globe, a topic that has gained increasing relevance in light of evolving governance and accountability standards that focus heavily on ethical cultures in professional service firms.
During his stay, Leonard engaged with faculty and researchers at the Center for Accounting, where he presented the ongoing project and received insightful feedback from colleagues. These discussions provided valuable perspectives that will help refine the theoretical and methodological approach of the study. Beyond the academic exchange, Leonard also took time to explore Aarhus, enjoying its vibrant atmosphere and scenic charm in beautiful summer weather.
It was a memorable and productive stay. We wish him all the best in this project!
