Iben Duvald has received a grant of DKK 996,055 from the Novo Nordisk Foundation (Call: Project support for exploratory studies in coherent treatment courses). Within the research project entitled 'Cross-sectoral in-home hospital treatment of elderly patients', an emergency department, the pre-hospital service, GPs, three municipalities, and researchers work together in order to reorganize the collaboration between the practitioners within the framework of the existing healthcare system to create the first hospital-at-home treatment pathway for elderly acute ill patients in a Danish context. The grant are to be used in 2022 to ensure the start-up of a thorough evaluation of the new organization for in-home hospital treatment.
