Abstract
I will in this presentation first make an outline of my dissertation and show how the four papers, which together constitute the main content of the dissertation, are interlinked. Emphasis will be on showing how all papers investigate different aspect of the creativity and innovation constructs with search and search behavior as points of departures. Furthermore, an overview of how the papers complement each other will also be outlined. The second part of the presentation will focus on presenting the first paper in the dissertation, where especially the theory and the results will be discussed. This paper is titled “Organizational Success Traps: The Interplay between Board of Directors and Managers” and it is a paper, which is based on system dynamics simulation modelling. Success traps caused by a too late shift in organizational focus from pure exploitation to more exploration are investigated, where the interplays between a firm’s board of directors and its managers are investigated as antecedents for ending in success traps. Furthermore, bonding in terms of transparent monitoring systems are examined as solutions which can prevent firms facing these issues.

Everyone is welcome!
