Title: Is there a Motherhood Penalty in Academia in Denmark?
Nabanita Datta Gupta is professor at the Department of Economics and Business Economics. She obtained her PhD in Economics from Cornell University, USA in 1992. She has been employed as Assistant Professor at NJIT, New Jersey, USA, Associate Professor at Aarhus School of Business, Research Professor at SFI and Professor at Aarhus University since 2009. Her primary research interest is in labour economics, family economics and health economics. She has been a member of the Danish Social Science Research Council 2007-2012, a member of the government's Pension Commission and since 2020 is serving as co-chairman of the Danish Economic Council.
