Abstract
The continuous development and improvement of mHealth products offers an increasing variety of services to a growing number of users. However, non-adherence, non-adoption and high attrition rates remain a barrier to widespread, unobstructed, and long-term use of mHealth. To overcome those impediments, I present four studies that aim at putting the user in focus, easing information sharing and increasing mHealth adoption. Covering topics such as user requirement engineering, usage increase/engagement, and trust, the presented studies include a literature review on trust and health information sharing, two mixed-methods empirical studies on mHealth features and social comparison, and a field experiment manipulating perceived benefits. My 2nd year presentation will focus on two points: the general coherence of the theme of my thesis and its placement in the IS discipline, and the methodological soundness of two experimental studies that I have designed.
Everyone is welcome!
