Abstract
Along with the digitalization, the health care market in Denmark has undergone rapid changes and enabled the possibility to extend the reach of healthcare by incorporating mobile health (mHealth) into existing product and services for distributing health information (WHO, 2011).  In 2015, it was projected that more than tree billion mHealth apps were downloaded (Research2Guidance, 2015), and only two years later 50% of the users owning a mobile phone were expected to have downloaded at least one mHealth app (Jahns & Houck, 2013). The rise continued and during the COVID-19 pandemic, mHealth apps was widely utilized as an effective healthcare tool (Deep Knowledge Analytics & Big Innovation Centre, 2020; Kondylakis et al., 2020). The benefits that come along with mHealth apps are plenty, including an easier access to healthcare services at a reduced cost in a convenient way for the consumer (Luís Velez Lapão & Gilles Dussault, 2017; Tate et al., 2013). However, there are still several barriers affecting the widespread use and adoption of mHealth apps (MB, 2018). My PhD project aims to explore the impact of an mHealth app that will target children and adolescent’s use of digital technologies - a high concern within public health in relation to children’s wellbeing – and investigate how such an app can be implemented into or adding additional value to existing healthcare services.

Everyone is welcome!
