My research delves into the multifaceted concept of reflection, a critical skill for learners navigating today's dynamic world. Currently, I am attempting to combine Dewey's theory of inquiry with modern conceptions of how we learn (e.g., predictive processing, 4E cognition). My hope is to build a cognitive theory of reflection that can be experimentally tested and used to cultivate a better understanding of how the reflective process can differ across cultures and individuals.
At the Centre for Educational Development (CED), I work with digital competence among lecturers and students. A core part of this work is exploring how generative AI can be used in meaningful ways in teaching and learning. This includes developing workshops, initiatives, and resources that help educators and students engage with AI thoughtfully and responsibly.
