Honorary Doctorate for Linda Argote

In connection with the annual celebration on Friday 13 September, Linda Argote was named Honorary Doctor, Doctor Mercaturae Honoris Causa, for Aarhus BSS at Aarhus University.

Linda Argote is David M. Kirr and Barbara A. Kirr Professor of Organizational behavior and Theory as well as Director of the Center of Organizational Learning, Innovation and Knowledge at Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University.

Linda Argote’s research focuses on organisational learning, with a special focus on group learning and knowledge transfer between group members. Within this subject area, Linda has published more than 100 articles in the absolute leading journals of the field. Her work on organisational and team learning has thus been groundbreaking, and for many years, she has formed the basis for the field's understanding of the topic.

Linda has had close ties to Aarhus since 2010, when she became part of the UNIK funded MindLab project – specifically the organisational project. Since then, Linda has visited Aarhus University and the ICOA Center several times, and she still has close connections with researchers at ICOA.
