The DIAMOND project’s overall goal is to strengthen economic fairness and resilience of active labour market policies (ALMPs) and address high unemployment by rethinking and disrupting training for re- and upskilling. More specifically, the main goal is to guide people from vulnerable socio-economic backgrounds, which often cannot profit from the benefit of ALMPs, on their pathway to employment by tailoring learning programmes to individual needs, thereby bolstering employability.

To achieve this the AU Team together with 14 European will work on developing two unique solutions:

1. the Employability Growth Index (^EGROW Index) which is a comprehensive taxonomy of an individual’s employability growth. The index also includes peoples’ empowerment and transformative capabilities to improve skill development strategies.
2. the Modular and Versatile Platform for Engagement and Employability (MOVE^E) which is a digital platform for lifelong learning with person-centred-micro-credentials and learning formats. It is meant to facilitate an increased labour market participation and employment.

Furthermore, they will develop, test and validate an economic cost-benefit analysis and a stochastic life-cycle model with the purpose of supporting an improved understanding of macro effects of ALMPs and to benchmark the impact and breadth of the ^EGROW Index and MOVE^E.

The project started in October 2024 and runs for 3½ years.
