The Department of Management is part of both new SDG network projects at Aarhus University. The networks are funded by the Committee for Research and External Cooperation at Aarhus University with DKK 1 million each, and aim to generate new knowledge that can help society achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Department of Management is part in the first project, called New Foods for Physical and Mental Well-Being' which originates from the MAPP Centre's partnership in the Aarhus University Centre for Innovative Food Research (iFood). The activities in this SDG network will also make use of the already established collaboration with Brazil – in the International Network programme 'Waste-to-value ideas for a sustainable food system: from product to market'. The topics of working groups the department is involved in include digital solutions, and urbanisation and culture.

The Department of Management is also part in the second project, called 'Overcoming the Challenges of a Circular Economy' which will deal with the consumer´s role in issues such as food waste and plastic waste or re-use.

Milena Corredig from Science and Technology heads the first network, and Sanne Wøhlk from Aarhus BSS the second. So far, Jessica Aschemann-Witzel, Marija Banovic, Susanne Pedersen, Lina Jacobsen, Liisa Lähteenmäki, John Thøgersen and George Tsalis and are involved in the two projects at the department.
