Crowdfunding for science

Crowdfunding for science is a new pathway for resourcing alternative research projects. The model has potential to change how and what research is carried out in the future. This project provides new insight into the implications of winning and not winning a crowdfunding of science campaign for researchers’ careers trajectories. In this project we analyse how winning or not winning may affect researchers’ production of research as well as how obtaining this funding has influenced career paths. Thus, looking at how winning a crowdfunding of science campaign can be an element that potentially change career choices for researchers’ in the future as well as their ability to produce research.
