IFMRS 2024 took place in beautiful Tromsø, Norway, on 18 - 20 June 2024.
The venue for the conference was the University of Tromsø. Tromsø is known for being one of the best places in the world to see the Northen Lights and the place where you can experience the culture of the Sámi people, however at this time of the year it is The Midnight Sun which makes this place unique.
Because of the Midnight Sun you don’t feel sleepy and can go experience the city or go on excursions in the middle of the night! You can sail out to see seals or the impressive Fjords, or you can go hiking and see moose, reindeer and puffins, all due to the golden rays of the midnight sun. There are many, many possibilities why we highly recommend you check out this special place where the sun never sets.

This year’s conference was co-hosted by the School of Business and Economics at the University of Tromsø and Nofima. The conference opened with a welcome reception on Tuesday 18 June, followed by two full days of conference programming on Wednesday and Thursday, ending with a dinner on Thursday, 20 June.
Session topics included but were not limited to: Consumer Behaviour, Marketing Strategy, Agribusiness & Marketing, Pricing, Advertising/Promotion, Sustainability/Ethics, etc.

2025 conference
IFMRS 2025 will take place in Athens, Greece, and will be co-hosted by the American College of Greece. Details will follow here shortly.
