IFMRS 2026 Conference


We are thrilled to announce that the International Food Marketing Research Symposium (IFMRS) 2026 will be hosted by the University of Florida at the stunning city of Gainesville, Florida, from June 16th to 18th, 2026.

This year, IFMRS is organized in collaboration with the Food and Resource Economics Department at the University of Florida.

Conference Program
The event kicks off with a Welcome Reception on Tuesday, June 16th.

The main conference runs over two full days, June 17th and 18th, featuring diverse sessions on:

  • Consumer Behavior
  • Marketing Strategy
  • Agribusiness & Marketing
  • Pricing
  • Advertising/Promotion
  • Sustainability/Ethics

The conference concludes with a closing dinner on Thursday evening, June 18th.
 

Welcome Reception
Come out and enjoy a pint and appetizers with us at the Inherently Floridian Swamphead Brewery at 6pm on Tuesday, June 16th. Transportation from the Hilton will be provided.

 

Abstract Submission
We encourage submissions for both extended abstracts (up to 2,500 words) and short abstracts (up to 500 words). Submission deadline is April 1st, 2026. Submit your abstract at https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/79646/submitter)

  • Extended abstracts will be included in the conference proceedings and are eligible for best paper awards.
  • Short abstracts will appear in the program but not in the proceedings or awards competition.

Graduate students are encouraged to submit, with special recognition for the best student paper.

Important note: Each participant may submit only one abstract as the submitting author.


Registration
Conference registration is $850 USD and includes:

  • Conference participation
  • Breaks and lunches

Lodging
The conference will be hosted at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center Gainesville, located just off the beautiful University of Florida campus. To join the conference block, please visit: https://group.hilton.com/a2pvaf. The group rate will be assigned on a first-come basis, provided reservations are made by Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

 

Travel
Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV), located 9 miles from the Hilton, services flights from Atlanta, Charlotte, and Dallas/Fort Worth. The airport offers car rentals on-site. 

The Orlando International Airport (MCO) and the Tampa International Airport (TPA) are both a 2 hour drive from Gainesville and the Jacksonville International  Airport (JAX) is a 1.5 hour drive.
